Hey, my name is Carrie. I am just asking for prayers for my mother. Her name is Angie. About a month ago she was diagnosed with lung cancer and bone lesions. It has been a month full of overwhelming information. Her prognosis seemed to look good and her spirits were high. We were just ready to get the treatment started and get her on to the road of being cancer free. Last night however she suffered a stroke that caused an occlusion in one of her main brain arteries. She didn’t know who she was or who her kids were and couldn’t speak. She was flown to Grady and they proceeded with a procedure to remove the clot. We are now in ICU waiting CT results to see how much damage occurred to her brain. She seems alert and understands what is happening but she can’t form sentences. Sometimes she is still struggling to find the right word for things. Her right side of her body has become weak. I am asking for prayers for strength and peace for her and my family. Pray her ct results show little brain damage and that she will make a full recovery. Pray for her speech to return. I believe in a God that nothing is impossible and with him and thru his will all things are possible. I am putting my faith before my fear and leaving this to god. My 8 year old daughter has started therapy for her anxiety. I would appreciate your prayers for Gods guidance in helping her open up about what is bothering her. Also prayers that myself and her mom will be accepting to whatever we may be responsible for, and willing to change whatever we need to change to help our daughter.

I have a sweet friend who’s father has been turned over to hospice. My friend is currently in a fight to witness to her dad, who has never accepted Christ and just simply doesn’t believe in God. Her sister and mother also are non believers and are constantly fighting with her for sharing the gospel with them. We know this is the enemy at work, and I would just like to ask that others join me in praying for this family. Praying specifically for the softening of their hearts and for them to be willing to just listen and allow her father to make his own choices. It’s so hard to lose a parent, it has only been a year since I saw my mama take her last breath and the only thing that helps me through is knowing that I will see her again one day, whole and healed. I cannot imagine the pain my friend is feeling right now. Please lift her up with me. I know God can soften even the hardest of hearts.
